Tench Bhatta (ٹنچ بھاٹہ) is a well known residential and commercial area of the Rawalpindi Pakistan. It is a market with thousands of shops in it including different types and category. After Raja Bazaar (راجہ بازار) this market is very famous among the middle and low class families. Almost all type of products and things are available in Tench Bhatta Rawalpindi Pakistan.
It is also known as the longest market in Asian region, it covers huge area between 22 Number Chungi and Akhari Bus Stop or Last Bus Stop. Last bust was a point in past where the Rawalpindi city ended and busses took U-turn from this point. In recent times the population of this area grown rapidly and so as this Bazaar.
There are only two main roads to enter into Tench Bhatta Rawalpindi, first one is from Akhari Bus Stop and the 2nd one is from 22 Number Chungi. It is a congested area of Rawalpindi Pakistan just like the Raja Bazaar so it is advised to visit this place by your feet rather than taking to vehicle. You may not find any suitable place to park your vehicles.
As you enter on this Road from 22 Number Chungi (چونگی), you will see few medicine’s shops and vegetables shops. There is an old fuel pump of PSO but it is not operational now. There is a Government School and the Franchise of Zong Pakistan.
Soneri Bank, Allied Bank, Telenor Franchise, Road to Adra (آدراہ) and First Women Bank will come at first on your way to Tench Bhatta. You could witness toys, garments, crockery’s and general item shops on your way to Akhari Bus Stop.
After 5 minutes drive you will reach on the most famous point of Tench Bhatta Rawalpindi the “Dispensary Ground”. It is a commercial area with allot of hawkers and small shops on it. You could buy different type of products on very cheap rates. Spenzer Bakers is one of the oldest bakery of this area could be seen on your left. Masjid Al-Minar (المینار مسجد) and Nazir Sweets are also situated near to Dispensary Ground of Tench Bhatta Rawalpindi.
After passing the Government Boys School you will see a road turning to your left, it is famous Qasai Chowk (قصائی چوک) of the Tench Bhatta Rawalpindi Pakistan. Qasai is an Urdu word which means “Butcher” so this is the Butcher’s square in this Bazaar. All types of meat like beef, mutton, chicken and fish is available here. Mustafa Masjid, Madni Masjid, Noorani Masjid and the Imam Bargah of Qasr-e-Sajjad are situated very near to Qasai Chowk.
Qasai Chowk Tench Bhatta Rawalpindi is situated on the Tench Road the Mughal Abad Road (مغل آباد روڈ). Government Girls Higher Secondary School and the Government Inter College for girls are situated on the Mughal Abad with the branch of National Bank of Pakistan.
Akhari Bus Stop:
This Bazaar ends at the Akhari Bus Stop (آخری بس اسٹاپ) or the Last Bus Stop point. Once upon a time it was the ending point of Rawalpindi city but not now as population increased and city expanded itself according to the current situation. This point is situated on the Abid Majeed Road and leads you towards the Railway Station at one end the Dhoke Syedan (ڈھوک سیداں) to the other. Bank Al-Habib and Mobilink Franchise are situated at this point and the most famous sweet shop of this area the New Nirala Sweets is also situated near to it.
Tench Bhatta Rawalpindi is a Best place to buy commodities of all types on reasonable prices. Thousands of peoples visit this place on daily basis; it is very hard to drive a vehicle on this road in rush hours. It gets more crows on special occasions like Eid (عید), Shabraat (شبرات) and on the day of Independence.
