Malka e Kohsar Murree and its surrounding areas

Visiting to the Murree city will be your great experience. It is a cold and pure area with many trees and it is surrounded by many big and small mountains. These mountains provide you a great view of the entire valley. Peoples do visit here from across the country along the outsiders. The landscapes of Murree (Malka e Kohsar) are fabulous and walking on these hills is a unique experience. It is a nearby city of Islamabad the Capital. Its environment block the heat of sun in summer while snow fall in winter.

The mall road of Murree gets crowded in summer just like a cinema hall or some cricket ground. This place is very popular for the General public, politicians and foreign tourists and machineries. Above the all this place is very important for Pakistan Army who has big camps and a Cantt area along the CMH Murree. Politicians use this place for their political meetings and decisions and get to gather.

Murree is a foothill of the Great Himalayas. It is known as the Queen of Hills or Malka e Kohsar. British established this hill station in the year 1851. British made all the major buildings in this city like the Mall Road, Schools, Clubs, Churches and parks etc. When British ruled over this area the local community was not allowed to cross the restricted area. After the separation of Pakistan and India the Government of Pakistan got the charge of this beautiful area. This city got the importance after the making of Capital in the year 1962 when Islamabad came into existence. This city expanded very fast after that because it is just few kilometres away from the Islamabad. Governor house, Government house, Punjab house, KPK house, Kashmir house are constructed here along the other buildings.

Kashmir point is placing from where you can be spectator those mountains that belong to the Kashmir. These mountains are also covered with snow in the winter season. These peaks provide a beautiful back round to this city. This city got the expansion of five kilometres from Kashmir point to Pindi point. At the Northeast end you could watch the Kashmir valley and the Jhelum river of Azad Kashmir while Pindi point is situated on the Southwest of Murree. Mall Road linked both of these points which are very famous among the visitors. GPO (General Post Office) is situated on this road which is the most important point or place of this city.

The sunsets and the clouds with the rains create a unique environment in this city and amuse you whether you are driving, riding or hiking. The green environment of Murree attracts the visitors and provides them a great experience. The surrounding areas also produce a great atmosphere. You will find many large trees on the journey from Islamabad to Murree. Tret is the entry place of this city and then comes the Ghora Gali (British uses this point to change their horses) Swar Gali, Changla Gali and Khaira Gali are few other place of its surroundings. Nathia Gali and Dunga Gali are few more famous places around this city. Thandiani is another nearby famous place which is easily accessible from the Malka e Kohsar (Queen of hills). The road to this city is two way from highway side and single way from Express way. A full time driver is required to drive through these roads because of few sharpen edges.
